Rules are important in giving everyone that visits a dog park a safe and enjoyable experience. The rules of each dog park vary and are usually located right outside the off-leash areas.  Rules you may find in some of the dog parks in Plano include:

1. Jack Carter Dog Park

Two acres large, the Jack Carter dog park is an off-leash park for dogs to play safely. The dog park is fully enclosed with a fenced, double-gated entrance to secure the dog park even further. Jack Carter dog park has small and large dog areas, and separates them by weight. If your dog gets too dirty while visiting, there is a wash station near the park entrance. There is plenty of shade and seating around the park, so you can watch your pup play comfortably. Water fountains and waste stations are in the park for visitors to use. This dog park is well-maintained and is a relaxing grassy area for your dog to play at. 

2. Dog Park at Windhaven Meadows Park

The dog park at Windhaven Meadows Park is a 4.6-acre large place where dogs are allowed to run free. This off-leash park is located in the 123-acre large area of Windhaven Meadows Park, which also has other amenities like a children’s playground, walking paths, a pond, and plenty of open space. Since this dog park sits in a large park, you can find restrooms and plenty of parking when visiting. This dog park in Plano has a section for both large and small dogs. Windhaven Meadows dog park is fully fenced in and has a double-gated entrance. Water fountains are located in the off-leash park, as well as a dog wash station to clean your pup when leaving, but it is closed in the winter. The Windhaven Meadows dog park is a fun place to visit for any dog if in Plano.

3. The Dog Park at Bob Woodruff

A large 7-acre off-leash park, the dog park at Bob Woodruff is one of Plano’s largest dog parks. There are separate sections at this dog park, keeping large and small breeds separate. In total, this dog park has four different sections. Two areas are for smaller dogs, and the other two are for larger ones. The entire dog park is fenced in, and there are double-gated entrances to let dogs safely enter and exit the park.   For thirsty dogs, a water fountain can be found in the off-leash areas, as well as doggy bags and trash cans to make it easier to pick up after your pup. The dog park at Bob Woodruff is a very open off-leash area, with large amounts of flat land perfect for playing games like fetch or frisbee. The landscape of the dog park is natural grass and dirt, which is soft on the paws of dogs.
