Discover the opulent world of Grand Suites, where handmade furnishings and divine meals are just a way of life. Riders can be carried away in a luxury that was formerly reserved for the aristocracy of bygone travel. The Grand Suites’ living spaces enable you to eat in privacy if you like. Speaking of privacy, your own bathroom with marble countertops allows you to recharge in luxury. The train’s round-the-clock butler service is there to fulfill any yearning you may have. This does come at a price. For each person looking to travel in one of The Grand Suites on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, you can expect the pay just under $9,000. There are twin suites available for a few thousand dollars less. It’s also suggested that passengers are always formally dressed, and dinner is a black tie affair. If dressing up isn’t your thing, you can lounge in whatever you’d like, as long as you’re eating in your private room. With three restaurants on board, there isn’t a lack of space to eat. Lobster salad, beef wellington, fresh bread, sorbet, a cheeseboard, and mascarpone ice cream are just some of the delicacies available on the dinner menu. Will and his guest are enjoying every minute on the train and getting their dollar out of the endless champagne. With gorgeous views of Switzerland passing by the large windows in their room, they look forward to the final stop in Italy. One man commented under Will’s video of his experience and wrote, “Being an elder gentleman and one of modest income it was a thrill to see how a simple train ride can be an experience of a lifetime.” Another person says, “Truly, this was a five-star hotel on rails, and then even more.
