A velociraptor would not even achieve half that size. Instead, they stood between 1.5ft and 2.5ft tall, weighed between 20lbs and 50lbs, and measured 6.5ft long with their tails. They were basically the size of a large turkey, but they may have weighed more than 50lbs. Indominus rex has the size advantage.

The Indominus rex had incredible defenses. The osteoderms in its skin helped stop gunfire, the dinosaur was incredibly fast, and it could blend in with its surroundings owing to its cuttlefish DNA. Furthermore, the dinosaur was absolutely massive, so no creature, except for a rogue Mosasaurus, would even think to attack it. The Velociraptor’s only real defense was its speed and agility. It could get out of trouble by moving quite fast and getting into cover. Indominus rex has the defensive advantage.

The I-rex was incredibly powerful when it came to attacking its prey. Like other large theropods, this creature would seek to overwhelm its prey by ramming it and knocking it over, and then biting it to death. Plus, the Indominus rex had a bite that rivals or exceeds the T-rex’s power at 17,000lbf because it had a larger head. The I-rex’s teeth were like those of a crocodile, cone-shaped and meant to hold onto prey. Nothing could get away from this dinosaur, but it also didn’t have the talent for scavenging meat as a T-rex. The Velociraptor attacked similarly to the birds of prey that bear its name in the modern-day, minus the flying of course. Velociraptors would run at their prey, leap on them, and slice them with their 3-inch claws on the second toe of their feet. They would aim for the neck or other vital areas. They would pin their prey with their claws and then eat them with their 28 serrated teeth. The Velociraptor was small, but it was something that modern humans would not want to mess with, like a stronger, meaner cassowary. Of course, the I-rex has the advantage in terms of offensive powers.
Velociraptor vs Indominus Rex: Predatory Behavior
The Velociraptor was most likely an opportunistic predator that would identify, pursue, and kill prey that was smaller than it. Unlike the film version of these dinosaurs, they did not hunt in groups, and they would certainly not be smart enough to outwit groups of hunters. The I-rex would be smart enough, though. This creature had incredibly high levels of intelligence and used that power to establish ambushes on groups of human beings. This dinosaur is an ambush predator and could hide in plain sight due to its extensive camouflage capabilities. In short, the I-rex is the apex predator of apex predators. The I-rex was a much better predator than a velociraptor.
Who Would Win in a Fight Between a Velociraptor and an Indominus Rex?
The Indominus rex would win a fight against a Velociraptor. The I-rex would probably strike before the Velociraptor knew it was coming, ending its life in a simple bite or perhaps playing with its food to stimulate its intellect. Not only is the I-rex far too powerful in terms of its offensive strength, but the Velociraptor cannot successfully attack Indominus Rex. Its claws won’t tear its skin, and its teeth would take forever to get a bit of meat from the I-rex’s leg. Meanwhile, the massive whitish-gray dinosaur would step on the Velociraptor as a human does to an ant.
